Dr. Charles Hall is a 22-year Navy Chaplain veteran married to American Legion, Post 213 Dorie Miller Auxiliary President, Mrs. Norvo D. Hall, for over 35 years, producing two daughters and three grandchildren from their union.
Dr. Hall, who served under several commands during his military career, also was deployed during the Gulf War to serve aboard the USS Wabash (AOR-5). LCDR (Retired), where he was assigned as the Command Chaplain with the Marines and Coast Guard. Dr. Hall, ordained pastor by The National Baptist Convention USA Inc., has 36 years of ministry experience. He is the former Pastor of Jubilee Gospel Fellowship in Newport, Rhode Island, and The Baptist Temple in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Halls' education extends wide and long, with him achieving an Associate from Southern Baptist College, two bachelor's from California Baptist University in History and Public Administration, a Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master from Graduate Theological Union, Berkley, CA, in Greek Studies. Hall's education also includes a Doctorate in Pastoral Theology from Andersonville Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Science in Education from the City College of New York.
Dr. Hall's Clinical Pastoral experiences include a year-long residence at New York Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn. He was assigned to patient emotional and spiritual care in Oncology, ICU, CCU, RCU, and ER units. Dr. Hall completed a year of Chaplain Residency with the Veterans Administration, where he is presently a Chaplain assigned to assisting veteran's groups in substance abuse, mental illness, homelessness, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder with veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Dr. Hall is a Board-Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains and the National Association of Veterans Affairs Chaplains.
Dr. Hall is a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor and former Minority Veteran Program Coordinator for the NY VA Harbor Healthcare System. Who currently serves as the Kings County Leader of several military veteran organizations and groups and is the Commander of Dorie Miller Post 213 in Brooklyn, New York.
