Dorie Miller Post 213 Adjuntant Eddie Claudio was born in Bushwick, Brooklyn but grew in the South Bronx. In 1975, during the post Vietnam era, he enlisted with the United States Army. He spent boot camp in Fort Jackson, South Carolina and his AIT in Fort Polk, Louisana. He was stationed three long year in Baumholder, Germany with the 8th Division Infantry in the combat support unit. During that time he boxed for the Baumholder boxing team as a light middleweight with a record 3-0 because of the too mush partying he couldn't both. He spent his last six months of his active duty in Fort Carson, Colorado where he was honorable discharge. After coming back to NYC. In 1979, he enrolled in BMCC under the GI bill but had to withdraw after he got hired by the NEW York City Police department as a police officer. He spent 13 years on the force after a line of duty injury that force him to retire. Currently he is a international professional boxing referee where he travels around the world working championship fights besides that he helps out new upcoming officials in the amateur ranks because he never forget where it all started. He currently resides in his own home in Bushwick, Brooklyn with one of his six children (all grown) and with girl friend.
